Dayton Musicians

you asked for it, and now it's happened. Morphic's new LP is now availible online via paypal at www.myspace.com/morphicresonance. for you people outside the ohio area that are into our style on industrial/hardcore/metal, you too can own the record shocking everyone and making us new friends and fans left and right. also online is our EP we did last year for Woodshock, Ad Infinitum: The Precusor to Contempt. it has remixes, b-sides and cd-rom/multimedia content.

both records are sold by us through paypal. all records sold are directly supporting us. all prices, for now are postage paid, meaning that you don't pay extra for shipping. this will be in effect until it becomes a pain in the ass to ship it this way. you'll be warned when we stop free shipping.

track listings:

Contept LP $10:
1. Echelon
2. Repel and Rupture
3. Lockdown
4. Ill omen
5. If Red
6. Vermin
7. Contempt
8. Send us into the Swine
9. Synoretism
10. Anthengen

Ad Infinitum: The Precusor to Contempt EP $8
1. If Red (edit)
2. If Red (booty mix)
3. Antedate Revulsion
4. Repel and Rupture
5. Summum Malum
plus cd-rom/multimedia content

we're still looking to book shows outside dayton and the ohio areas for this fall/winter. so if you can help us out with a venue or hook us up with a band and/or promoters that could help us out, please email us at our myspace.com site or at morphicj@morphicslut.com

thanks for the support. you guys have been awesome to us this year. keep it up. we'll get to you're neck of the woods soon.

Musicians Wanted [Jun. 5th, 2005|05:12 pm]
Dayton Musicians

The Virgin Trend is currently looking for serious musicians to get this show on the road. I currently do all vocals, and play rhythm guitar, but am a bass player as well. So I will definetely need a drummer, at least one guitar player (maybe 2, I don't know if my husband is continuing on with the Virgin Trend) and quite possibly a bass player. I have guitars and amps galore, but no large practice space and no PA to practice with. This may sound snobbish, but auditions may be necessary. I also want the people in this band to enjoy the music and also enjoy having creative input. I am by no means a dictator! My primary influences are: The Smashing Pumpkins, Interpol, Wilco, The Cure, Tori Amos.

If you are remotely interested, please e-mail Mandy at mandy@virgintrendmusic.com

June 3rd in Yellow Springs [Jun. 3rd, 2005|12:14 pm]
Dayton Musicians

June 3rd
Peach's Grill
Yellow Springs, OH
$5 cover

KATIE TODD BAND (Chicago) - Compelling, dynamic original pop-rock driven by Katie Todd's virtuoso piano and edgy, emotive voice backed by a tight, talented band.

GREGORY MORRIS GROUP (Cincinnati) - Spooky, gypsy style delta blues. One part jazz, one part folk, one part punk, one part rock, but it's really all about the songs. Bank robberies, pregnant pirates, time travellers, vodoo spells, allegory, and plain old sex drugs and rock n roll conspire to reveal a world of simple feelings in exotic places.

SultryFunkcoreTripHopCyberElectronicaPunkTwistedMindfuck is about the simplest way to describe MorissonPoe. This 4-piece Juggernaut has been carving a name for themselves up and down the East Coast all year, since the release of their first Nationally Distributed EP entitled "Glitter Girl: of The Tale, The Passion and The Rapture".

Having shared the stage with the likes of Mindless Self Indulgence, HIM, Sneaker Pimps,My Chemical Romance and many others, their shows have been described as nothing less than sheer emotional rollercoaster rides, to "...the best sex I've ever had! - Mark Therrien (MTV Networks)"
